On April 14, Serve DC, in partnership with DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (DC FEMS), hosted a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Spring Training Drill and Demonstration at Anacostia Park Skate Pavilion. The drill provided CERT trainees with a realistic practice setting and tested their emergency skills and knowledge. Check out all the photos from the CERT Spring Training Drill on Flickr!
Serve DC’s CERT program provides free training to people who live or work in the District to better prepare them to respond to emergencies and disasters. CERT volunteers provide critical support to first responders and immediate assistance to victims, and also help organize spontaneous volunteers.
